My husband and I have gotten into a routine the last couple of weeks of listening to music on YouTube while putting the kids down to bed at night. So this week’s theme has been love songs that tell our love story. We each had to pick a song to tell each other how we felt. Here are two of the many songs we played this week:

I can definitely relate to Tony Terry’s “With You.” There have been several occasions where complete strangers have stopped Hubby & I to tell us that we’ve brightened their day by watching how in love we are by seeing how we interact with each other. On none of these instances have we been doing anything considerably romantic, just laughing and enjoying conversations together. I praise God that our relationship can be an example of what a happy marriage looks like.

Music is a powerful medium that possesses the ability to return you to a place and time when everything was what you wanted it to be. When you hear that song, without thought you back in that space. So no matter where you are in the journey of your marriage, couples should always pull out that old disc, tape, 8-track or 45 and return to the youth of your marriage.
Just like night I took my wife to a Kindred concert and everytime we see them or listen to the lyrical messages of their marriage it’s like pouring new blessings on ours.

Oh Lord…you have my favorite song …with you by Tony Terry. When I saw the title of that post …I thought of that song because it’s my favorite…and can be applied to my relationship.

My husband and I met in college, and that was the FIRST song we danced to at our freshman dance. That is “our song.”
That song brings back so many memories for people.
I started writing what I coin “Marriage Music” in 2010. I felt there were so many artist making “Lovers Music” the difference. My music is spoken from a married man’s point of view. Where there lyrics may talk of what you should do from a single (un-married) point of view. I felt married men need to hear from someone actually doing it. Not only, but I started from the dating process (Why to wait before relations), to the person you need to strive to be for each other, and because most have a past and or children; How to deal with situations that keep you both on the right path together.
