Check out this video that we did for the LeoLove Show. The question for this week was should you ever upgrade your engagement ring? Sean thinks that upgrading your engagement ring changes the meaning of the ring. Michelle thinks Sean is wrong. Press play to see how Ronnie and I felt about the question.

BMWK family, what do you think? Is your engagement ring sacred, or are you willing to upgrade down the line?

Hmmm. Interesting. I just posted an article about alternatives (gemstones, pearls, etc.) to diamonds for engagement ring. I don’t there’s anything wrong to upgrading years down the line, especially if you started off with a more practical/smaller ring because you wanted to be better of financially.

WOW! Interesting that this came up because I had just decided that I was going to upgrade my husbands ring for our 5 year anniversary. Never knew it was such a hot topic, but after 5 years, 3 kids, and so many other things I think that he deserves it!

I definitely believe in upgrading your engagement ring. I have had the same $700.00 ring for 14 years and I was ready. I love my new upgraded 15 year ring!! I waited until the time was right so that we could pay cash for it. He never intended for me to keep the same ring for years on end.
